Our key areas of specialisation
You cannot fail to have noticed that not only are interest rates poor and clearly under increasing pressure as greater levels of inflation build up within our economy but to compound matters to maintain any degree of competitive advantage you need to constantly be willing to move your cash deposits between the myriad of accounts that are on offer to constantly secure the best rate at that time.
One of our clients was pleased to see that his bank was offering the most competitive rate in the market for cash ISAs only to then discover that his cash ISA was in a different account and he was only receiving 0.15% interest annually.
Our Wealth Management team have been tasked to work with you firstly to determine where your cash deposits are invested, whether they are in sole or joint names, whether they are within ISA accounts, whether they are in fixed term deposits and if so when they mature and finally the level of interest that they are currently attracting.
They will then suggest how these could be repositioned within the best interest paying instant access accounts and if appropriate the best fixed term deposit accounts. Very often cash ISAs can be amalgamated within one cash ISA account to gain the best level of interest available and of course to simplify matters.
The suggestions will be in the form of a short written report. For those of you who are comfortable with the internet then account links will be made available via email. If you're uncomfortable filling in application forms or would just like a little bit of help then the Financial Advisory team would be more than happy to help.
The results that we have seen so far have been very good and in some instances returns have been improved to the tune of many thousands of pounds and of course as accounts are always recommended to be maintained below the Government secured £50,000 limit then there is no increased risk.
There must be a catch! And of course there is; there needs to be a charge to cover the cost of the Financial Planners time. However that cost is relatively small and is normally around 0.25% pa with a minimum charge of £200 plus VAT. So; to make it worth your while the Planner needs to get you a return which is better than you're getting at present and of course it has to cover their fees also.
